GAVOTTE was created by a Korean-American designer who resides in Manhattan, New York City. She graduated from the Parsons School of Design and worked as a freelance designer at Polo Ralph Lauren, Ann Taylor Loft, Target Private Label, and interned at Anna Sui Etc before becoming a full-time mommy and a writer.
While preparing for GAVOTTE, she suffered a car crash on 2019.06.23. It was a rear-end collision that resulted in a rush to the hospital, and even through the Covid-19 pandemic, she and her family continue to receive treatment.
All of her efforts and preparations suddenly stopped as her serious injuries hurt her. She underwent 2 surgeries, but will never go back to normal.
Nonetheless, she continuously pushes forward working on GAVOTTE, her last label of her life time.
